If you feel like you don’t have time for anything self-care, the Empowering Wellness Initiative was created for YOU!

We recommend starting with the deep breathing exercises; songs of support, strength, and coping; 5 minute desk workouts; and/or the 5 minute simple self-care strategies.

If you would like to expand your self-care repertoire with some new ideas and inspiration and to learn new things, the Empowering Wellness Initiative was created for YOU as well!

At Living Spirit Therapy Services, LLC we believe in the inherent potential of every individual regardless of challenges or special needs.

Our vision is to build stronger communities by increasing independence, providing support for their members, and improving quality of life.

Please recognize that it is completely reasonable for anyone to feel increased stress and anxiety, and a decline in physical and mental health at this time. We congratulate you for taking this time to prioritize your health and well being!

The Empowering Wellness Initiative was created to support our community through these challenging times and beyond. We hope that this initiative gives people the tools to take control of their stress and anxiety; and improve their physical and mental health.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Empowering Wellness Initiative different from other programs? Expand

The Empowering Wellness Initiative was created by a team of board-certified music therapists. Nothing in this Initiative is music therapy. However, it is music therapy inspired.

The advanced training and skills of the therapists who created this content gives them unique perspective on how to help stressed and overextended adults, children, and individuals with special needs to cope, adapt, and thrive amid challenging situations.

The content in this initiative contains some of the same techniques and tools we use with our music therapy clients.

We spent extra time creating our videos and written content to meet the diverse needs of unique individuals.

Do you have to log your activity to participate in the Empowering Wellness Initiative? Expand

No! This initiative was created to provide a variety of tools for people to choose from to help them take control of stress and anxiety, and to improve physical and mental health.

You are not required to track anything! You are more than welcome to pick and choose the content that resonates most strongly with you on a day to day basis. This may change from day to day or be the same every day!

Any time that you spend working on your self-care, and physical and mental health is a great thing!

Do I have to participate on my own, or can I do so with a team? Expand

You are welcome to participate in the Empowering Wellness Initiative on your own; or with a team, group, or organization.

If you believe that this Initiative would be helpful for your group, team, or organization, please share it with your administrator, boss, or organizer!

Team or group participation is an economical way to encourage a healthy culture, and to improve the physical and mental health of people at large.

We are happy to grant group access to any team or organization regardless of size or type.

If your team or organization joins the initiative we are happy to refund your individual registration fees for that month.

Are there any discounts for people from historically marginalized communities? Expand

In an effort to be part of the solution for healing of centuries worth of wrongs done in our country and to start to balance inequities, we are offering one month free full access to our Empowering Wellness Initiative to people from historically marginalized communities.

We realize that this is only a small gesture, however, we are hopeful that this in combination with other small things we are doing to try to increase equities and social justice will make a difference.

Can I "try before I buy"? Expand

Yes!

We want people enrolled in the Empowering Wellness Initiative to feel confident that the content is a good fit for them.

As a result, we offer 24 hours of free access to make sure you feel like this would be a good value for you.

You are welcome to purchase month to month access, or to purchase lifetime access if you prefer.

If you decide that this would be a great fit for your team or organization, we are happy to refund individual enrollment fees in a given month if your team or organization signs up as well.

You are welcome to start with month to month enrollment. We can upgrade your membership to "lifetime" status if your cumulative monthly payments reach those of lifetime rates.

How can I get access to the Empowering Wellness Initiative for free? Expand

As a thank you to the staff who assist us in music therapy groups, we are offering free unlimited access to our Empowering Wellness Initiative to direct support staff and program directors involved in music therapy services, and administrators at facilities that host our music therapy groups.

Why participate as an organization or business? Expand

Healthy employees make for a healthy company. Research has shown that health-related work losses cost employers over $260 billion every year1 and the prevalence of illnesses caused by poor lifestyle choices and modifiable health risks is increasing every day2.

Additionally, research indicates that companies with health and productivity programs have better business outcomes and financial returns1. Therefore, many businesses are working to provide health and productivity management programs for their employees to improve the health of their employees and therefore decrease health-related work loss costs for the business2 .

Improved worker health may also increase creativity and innovation, enhance worker resilience, and increase intellectual capacity3.

During this time of COVID-19, health promotion and self-care are increasingly important. Everyone is dealing with stress right now. This Wellness Challenge program is designed to provide resources to help manage stress and build health wellness and self-care strategies. Improving self-care is one way to help improve immune functioning through reduced stress, which will benefit employees and businesses alike.

Why would I choose to log my self-care and wellness activities or set weekly goals? Expand

If you do choose to set weekly goals or to track self-care activities, this can make it much easier for you to achieve more significant change.

Studies show that if you write things down that you are MUCH more likely to do them and to make healthy choices. Setting goals helps to get what you want out of the experience and achieve the change you want.

Only 5% of people write down their goals. However, of the 5% that do write down their goals, 95% meet them.

Why is there a fee for the Empowering Wellness initiative? Expand

If you pay to participate in something you are more likely to actively engage on a regular basis.

How much does it cost?

All plans include a no cost 24-hour trial period. We want everyone to feel confident that this content will be a good fit for them!

After that time, you will be asked to pay by credit card or check to continue your subscription.

Living Spirit Therapy Services LLC is committed to addressing inequity and justice in our community. We are offering one month free access for our Empowering Wellness Initiative for people from historically marginalized communities. If you have the means for paid registration and choose to do so, your investment helps us provide music therapy services for those who are not able to afford them.
