Tatum Kline received her Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During her time as a student at Augsburg, Tatum gained music therapy experience working in hospice care, working at a day program for adults with developmental disabilities, and working with children and adolescents recovering from burns at a summer camp in Chongqing, China. Tatum completed her 1,000-hour music therapy internship training with Allina Health Hospice serving clients in the Twin Cities area. Throughout her music therapy education, Tatum also worked as an assistant teacher and a music teacher at the preschool level. These teaching experiences taught her the importance of patience and showed her how much our younger generations have to offer. Tatum’s work as a preschool music teacher inspired her to continue her work toward becoming a board-certified music therapist as the children she worked with showed her how powerful of an impact music can have. Tatum is a member of the American Music Therapy Association and the Music Therapy Association of Minnesota.
Tatum especially enjoys working with preschool aged children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and with families and patients in hospice care. Throughout her entire life, Tatum has been involved with populations who often are not given the opportunity to be heard. Growing up with a close family member with a developmental disability, Tatum became passionate about advocating for this population and sought opportunities to help individuals thrive by volunteering at local day programs and in special education classes. She strongly believes that everyone has something unique to contribute to the world regardless of their abilities. Tatum looks forward to utilizing music to empower clients to improve their quality of life.
Tatum is excited to continue learning and growing along with the rest of the Living Spirit Therapy Services, LLC team.
