Our vision at Living Spirit Therapy Services, LLC is to build stronger communities… Some of the ways we aim to strengthen communities are by improving family and community connections. Another way is by instilling values of service in their youngest members.

At Living Spirit Therapy Services, LLC we believe that each and every one of us has the power to make a difference in our community. For kids to develop values of kindness, respect, and compassion, actually DOING something to help others and seeing the impact they make is key. Starting to change values of the community to be more focused on the needs of others from the youngest members has a TRICKLE UP effect with kids often being more effective teachers, mentors, and change makers than adults once these habits are developed. Plus, the adults that support the kids make changes as well.

Last year we had multiple Kindergartners and their families with us which was fantastic! We also had several business owners providing a way to network!

While Feed My Starving Children has religious affiliations, ALL are welcome. This organization was selected because it accepts children of the youngest age in the area (5). BEING ABLE TO INTRODUCE THE VERY YOUNG TO VOLUNTEERING WAS A MAJOR GOAL OF THIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY, hence selecting this organization. We will select a new organization next year.

Want to introduce your children to volunteering, or to boost those service hours? If your family has never volunteered before this is a great organization to start with because it does a great job explaining the impact of the time we give to the task, the task is very simple (each person places a single food item into meal packs), and it is a fun and game like environment.

Those who do not have English as a primary language would be able to participate without issue.

Bring your colleagues, family*, partners, and friends and join us for a fun evening of community and service!

Individuals with disabilities who are able to tolerate a VERY LOUD ACTIVE ENVIRONMENT, and are able to keep up with a VERY FAST PACE are most welcome to join us!

Please help us spread the word! Invite friends, neighbors, and your whole family, kids too!

  • For safety reasons, children under the age of 5 are not allowed in our packing area (sorry, no exceptions)
  • Grades K-2: 1 student to 1 adult
  • Grades 3-6: 3 students to 1 adult
  • Grades 7-12: 4 students to 1 adult

To add to the fun game like and competitive nature of volunteering with Feed My Starving Children, Living Spirit Therapy Services, LLC will offer the team, company, organization, district, or business that brings the most people to the family centered volunteer event Friday November 8th 5 – 6:30 pm at Feed My Starving Children (they have to actually show up and volunteer)

A $25 GIFT CARD TO THE LOCAL MUSIC STORE OF THEIR CHOICE or we WILL DONATE $25 TO THE LOCAL CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE IN YOUR ORGANIZATION’S NAME. YOU CHOOSE!

Don’t belong to a larger group or organization, gather a group of music therapists and let me know who they are. If you are the unifying force, you are the “organization” and get to choose!

We realize that this isn’t much but it is a volunteer event. We also realize that as music therapists we give and give so if you feel like you have no room to give that’s ok. Don’t feel guilty if you have to say no! If some fun community is what you are looking for to fill your cup though, this might be just what you are looking for!

There are 22 people registered so far!
